You file for a dowód osobisty on gov.pl or in the mObywatel app and attach a photo to it. We crop yours to 700×900 px, even out the background and hold the 35×45 proportions. 24 zł for the finished file. You see the result before you pay.
A good source photo means a good result
We'll fix the light, background, and framing to meet the document-photo requirements. But half the result depends on your source photo. Here's what a good shot taken at home looks like:

- A JPG of 700×900 px under 2.5 MB, within the application limit.
- Proportions of 35×45, exactly 7:9. The face is not stretched.
- A plain white background with no shadows. That is what most rejections are about.
- A preview before payment: you see the result first, then pay.
- The file also arrives by email, so you can open it on a computer.

What a photo studio leaves out
You still have to visit the office
The application goes online, but a clerk takes your fingerprints and signature. You have 30 days for that visit. Without fingerprints the card is not issued. Children under 12 are the exception.
You get a file, not prints
The ID card application takes a digital photo, so paper is not part of it. If you need a print for something else, you can make one from our file yourself.
The clerk decides, not us
No tool decides on the office’s behalf. So instead of promising acceptance, we refund 100% when a photo is rejected.

What are the photo requirements for a dowód osobisty?
A colour photo from the last six months, facing the camera, no head covering and no dark glasses, an even white background. The file must be at least 492×633 px, up to 2.5 MB, in 35×45 proportions. Ours is 700×900 px: above the minimum and exactly in proportion.
Is a phone photo good enough?
Yes, the application takes a digital file. Stand by a window, no flash, keep the wall behind you light and plain. The framing, the background and the size are our part.
Can the whole application be done online?
Not for an adult. You file online, but within 30 days you have to come in for fingerprints and a signature. Children under 12 give no fingerprints, so their application stays online.
Who gets a dowód osobisty?
Polish citizens. If you live here on a residence card, you need a different photo, 684×883 px for the MOS portal. That one has its own page.
What if the office rejects the photo?
We refund 100%. Write to us with the reason you were given and the money goes back to the same card.
